NEC Group’s High-Voltage Solutions division delivered high-voltage equipment to Nizhnevartovskaya GRES in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug in just 22 days – three times faster than the standard manufacturing lead time for comparable equipment. The expedited delivery enabled the power plant to commission its 220 kV outdoor switchgear on schedule as part of preparations for the 2026-2027 heating season.
The delivery included a set of 220 kV gas-insulated current transformers with porcelain insulation. These devices measure electric current and transmit signals to relay protection and automation systems, enabling timely detection of power grid faults and disconnection of damaged sections to prevent emergencies from escalating.
Fulfilling the order within such a short timeframe required close coordination of production and logistics processes. The division’s specialists ensured that the complete order was delivered, enabling the customer to keep the power plant’s work schedule on track.
Nizhnevartovskaya GRES is one of the major power generation facilities in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug. Preparing its equipment for the autumn-winter period on time is essential for the stable operation of the regional power system and reliable electricity supply to consumers.
The supplied current transformers have already demonstrated reliable performance in operation. The parties are currently discussing the possibility of supplying an additional set of equipment.
